English Resume/Curriculum Vitae
for MBA Application
1. Importance
The resume is one of the most overlooked parts of the MBA application. It usually gets overshadowed by the required teats, the essays, and even the ordeal of trying to track down one's transcript. Too often applicants pull together their resumes at the last minute, or make a half-hearted attempt to recycle ones that they used several years ago, resulting in unimpressive resumes that don't fit with their applications.
There is a reason why the resume is the common currency that every business ( and therefore every business school ) still uses to evaluate candidates - because it helps the decision-maker to quickly evaluate a candidate's professional background. It's one of the first things that the admissions committee members will do for when they pick up your application, so you should strive to put your best foot forward.
2.Aims
- Describe your work experiences;
- Present your key accomplishment and skills, the evidence of managerial and leadership skills and experiences to highlight the impact that you had in each job, and your exposure to work teams and team leadership;
- Meaningfully tie your experiences together to show a logical career progression
(Consider adding an objective to each version of your resume stating your goal of entering that school’s MBA program.)
